Some works are almost a gift for a photographer. When you’re commissioned to a shooting with KitKatKlub Cabaret in Valencia (my hometown) it’s just great. A session with the three main actors, energetic, beautiful and funny people, fully characterized in some places I know, it was great. I did know the right spots. They had a great attitude and we even had a horchata in Santa Catalina with Laia Prats, Víctor Palmero and Jose Pastor.
Valencia has a lot of interesting places to shoot. I’ve lived here all my life, but in this case the company decided the places in which they wanted to have in this portfolio. Not a bad selection, if I have to be honest. We began in the venue where they were working, a little more of The City of the Arts and Sciences (L’Hemisfèric and L’Umbracle). After that we went to downtown, Santa Catalina and Plaza de la Virgen.
Two days after this moment I also had the opportunity of taking the promo images for the musical, so I did enjoy them, and the rest of the production. It is really an amazing rendition of a Broadway classic feature. Impressive actors and great musicians in Palau de Les Arts, at the City of the Arts and Sciences in Valencia (yeah, you’ve seen the place in Andor, Tomorrowland, Westworld or Doctor Who). Ah, and the sound is really a first class work.
